Mrs. Fisher's class created a collaborative, acrylic fingerprint representation of the Faith Christian logo. Faith’s logo was designed with a shield and an eagle to visually remind students, GOD IS our protector. He is powerful, majestic, sees all, can provide a place of shelter and refuge, or is mighty enough to carry us out of danger. If we choose to allow Him, He can guard our hearts and minds and deliver us from anything. As students placed their fingerprints upon this logo, they were reminded to always have the faith to choose God’s incredible, eternal love as our source of hope, truth, and life.

A custom United States Flag created by our very own Faith Christian 1st graders! Measures 18" x 24".

Students were taught the history of the American flag and what each color, stripe, and star stands for. From there, they brainstormed a list of words to describe what is felt in their own hearts when they see our country’s beautiful flag. Using these ideas, students were asked to paint and decorate several individual popsicle sticks with words and symbols of what it means to be an American. As students worked to piece together their thoughts, they were reminded  how incredibly blessed they are to live in a country that has fought for the freedom to choose and praise God’s amazing love and grace. If we trust in Him as our leader, we cannot fail.

Second grade students used the technique of double and triple loading their brushes with acrylic paint to create a harmony of color, texture, and design. Just as God crafted each of us with unique qualities and gifts, the children carefully created each leaf with its own, original design. When set apart, each individual leaf is beautiful, but remains vulnerable and unprotected. When combined, and connected to Jesus, the leaves remain fruitful, and can continue to grow and share God’s love.

A custom Colorado Flag art piece created by our very own Faith Christian 3rd grade artists! Measures 18" x 24".

Faith’s 3rd graders have been learning about analogous and monochromatic color combinations. The simple blessing of color is one of God’s greatest gifts.  Just as He breathes life into us, He can also help us breathe life into our art through color. Students working on this piece focused on tapping into the creative Holy Spirit God has given each of us. Children used their “artistic eyes” to choose, cut, splice and paste pictures, textures, and designs from magazines to create this colorful, collaborative Colorado flag. If you look closely, there are mountains, bodies of water, flowers and many more treasures hiding in this piece.

A beautiful piece created by our very own Faith Christian 4th grade artists! Measures 24" x 36".

4th grade has been learning about the power of color and design. They used simple lines, patterns, shapes and the symbol of the cross combined with color to create depth and evoke emotion. God blessed us with art to make statements for His glory. While each individual section is beautiful, students were able to see the impact of what happens when students collaborate together for His glory.

A beautiful piece created by our very own Faith Christian 5th grade artists! Measures 24" x 36".

The world would be a very different place without color. God blessed us with beautiful colors because they help evoke emotion, show depth, and provide defining characteristics to individual items. In this piece, students collaborated to use only lines, shapes, patterns, and symbols to create a skyline of downtown Denver. They quickly recognized the absence of color is much like life in the absence of God. Without him, life has much less meaning, purpose, and definition.
